Montenegro is the second in the region, next to Croatia, that the Sotheby’s brand wants to present to the world public as a jewel of the Mediterranean and one of the world’s fastest growing tourist destinations.
The global leader in the luxury real estate market, Sotheby’s International Realty, will have its representative office and office in the nautical resort of Porto Montenegro starting this March. This international community with a marina for superyachts, the Regent Hotel and luxury residences fits perfectly into the concept of Sotheby’s, which wants to offer its services to the Mediterranean and European markets, but also to present to prestigious clients all the benefits of life on the Montenegrin coast.
This is big news for Montenegro, because it is the second in the region, next to Croatia, that the Sotheby’s brand wants to present to the world public as a jewel of the Mediterranean and one of the world’s fastest growing tourist destinations. Sotheby’s, synonymous with the highest international standards of real estate excellence, opens its attractive office in the recently completed BAIA residential wing of the Regent Hotel. Sotheby’s will present the Tivat nautical settlement on all its business platforms, social networks, clients, buyers and investors. Among other things, they will promote the current attractive real estate offers in Porto Montenegro.
The beautiful Montenegrin coast fully fits into our brand vision, and it is a pleasure to promote this destination, develop and valorize its potential, but also to open an office in the heart of the most respected international community on the Adriatic, points out Hunter Milborne, partner and representative of Sotheby’s Montenegro, who has almost 40 has been working on the luxury real estate market for years.
The person most responsible for bringing this brand to Montenegro is Niko Laković, partner and CEO of Montenegro Sotheby’s International Realty.
After completing my studies and a professional stay in London, I decide to return to Montenegro, which in 2007 is experiencing an unprecedented boom in the real estate and investment sector, and I start working for British investment funds that were very active in those years with projects on the Montenegrin coast. At the end of 2009, I founded the company “Luxury Homes”, which created the web platform Nekretnina.me, today recognized in the world of luxury real estate.
Guided by experience, I concluded that there are several names in the world of luxury real estate that set global business standards in our business and whose presence would have a positive impact on our further development. Among them, of course, is Sotheby’s. In the middle of 2019, I met my current business partner, who is today the holder of the franchise for Montenegro. It is the Canadian Hunter Milborne, a veteran of the Sotheby’s brand, a true legend of this business. The intention to bring Sotheby’s to Montenegro was facilitated by the good investment climate, high-end projects like Porto Montenegro, where the owners were previously, among others, the Rothschilds, the family of Canadian businessman Peter Munk, the owner of the Louis Vuitton brand… That sophisticated tourist resort for megayachts is most responsible for the positioning of Montenegro as a serious nautical destination, and today the headquarters of our company is precisely in Porto Montenegro.
– says mr. Lakovic.
The Sotheby’s global network operates in 72 countries around the world, with nearly 1,000 offices and 22,700 independent sales associates, serving the luxury real estate market, offering strong marketing and referral programs and helping clients find their homes or investment properties, as well as vacation homes.
